White Blood Cells: The Mystery of the Tea Party

The budget battles are waging across the county, most recently in the states drawing a hard-line in the sand, such as Ohio, Wisconsin, and Indiana, trying desperately not to become the next California. The most intense battle hasn’t even arrived yet however, and that is the battle at the Federal level, where tax and spend liberals like President Obama, and Harry Reid are coming up against a new element that runs deeper than typical, placid conservative Republicans. That new element is the Tea Party, referred to by the media, and all those rampant tax and spend happy politicians, as Tea Baggers.

The Tea Party has brought an element to the political landscape that is difficult for the establishment to understand. Greta Van Susteren of Fox News recently attempted to get her mind around the Tea Party ideal and interviewed several people who tried to understand how a movement as large as the Tea Party is, can function without a leader. The left, who can’t function without a leader, is perplexed as they reach for icons like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. It’s not about them. If they were removed from the discussion there are hundreds of capable people waiting patiently if needed. The real heart behind the movement cannot be seen in such terms.

The best way to explain the Tea Party movement is that you have to consider the United States of America as a human body. It has a life of its own, eating, breathing and interacting with other nations. Now we all know what happens when a body gets sick. We don’t feel well, our temperature may increase, and we may fill chilled, weak, and have a runny nose. When we have a cold we tend to lay down for a bit, take off work and let our immune system fight off the virus. Such sicknesses might be called in America as “recessions.” Our immune system is the election process, and given time, minor illnesses can be overcome.

But there are other viruses and diseases that cannot be easily overcome by our immune system. Viruses like AIDS actually disguise themselves as healthy cells in the body till they are strong enough to attempt to take over the healthy cells in a body.

Cancer is the same kind of subversive disease that hides quietly in the body till it sees an opportunity to strike, and take over the surrounding tissue. We count on our White Blood Cells to identify a disease and to kill it, before it has an opportunity to take over and kill our body’s tissue.

Watch this video of a white blood cell chasing bacteria. Notice that the white blood Cell does not take time to watch TV, or eat at McDonalds. Such concerns are completely irrelevant to the life of a white blood cell. Yet, study the conscious movement of the cell, it is aware of the threat to the body and it is taking action to protect that body.

The United States of America, if looked at like a human body is plagued with many cancer cells attempting to destroy the tissue of the American body. To the cancer cell, this process is not a bad thing. The cancer cell just wants to live like any other cell. The quest for life is what all life shares. But the white blood cell is dedicated to protecting the body from such intrusions so a conflict is expected; we often refer to our immune systems as “fighting off a disease.” We expect it as a natural occurrence. But the cancers that we have in the American body have penetrated our education institutions, so they train the new cells of our body to duplicate the cancer cells. They have penetrated our political system, so as to infect all the cells there to become corrupt and distorted. They have penetrated our families, so the production of strong white blood cells cannot occur so there is no defense in the body to resist them.

Some white blood cells are aware of the cancer cells, and are attacking them directly now. And that is what you might call the Tea Party. The white blood cell is void of attention, concern for power, and greed. That is unless it has been corrupted by a cancer cell or other disease. We know many politicians on Capital Hill that have been corrupted in this way by the disease of “lobby influence.”

But most of the Tea Party people are as pure to a white blood cell in our society as we have to offer. They are selfless defenders of the body called America. They don’t expect financial compensation, powerful positions, or disproportionate amounts of wealth. They are unified by a common cause, and that is the preservation of the body America.

For that reason, the white blood cells called “The Tea Party” do not need a leader to tell them where to go or what to do. All they need to know is what the cancer cells look like, and to attack them the way America expects them to in order to restore the body to health.

The white blood cell is often out-numbered and must take on larger, much scarier cancer cells and bacteria, such as was seen in the video. They will often be outnumbered. But the white blood cell more often than not prevails and life continues for the healthy body. The body can only be measured by its health depending on the strength of its immune system, or otherwise, based on its ability of white blood cells to destroy attackers. This is important because a body is always under attack from foreign invaders.

In America, diseases that the white blood cells called The Tea Party are on the lookout for are socialism, which consumes healthy growth of the body’s tissue by cutting off the flow of blood in the body. Blood to America is its corporations. Other diseases are trickster cells that attempt to weaken the resolve of the white blood cell by disguising itself, such as AIDS. In America such comparisons are in the body’s lack of ability to embrace religion, social norms, and healthy living habits. Such trickster cells will attempt to kill off the white blood cell population with unhealthy pointless endeavors so the resistance is not in place for disease growth. Greed is a specific kind of disease that might be found in the union movement where those cells expect larger amounts of substance to maintain their own existence, tricked by diseased cells into behavior that puts their own lives at risk by overconsumption. This behavior takes away the body’s ability to furnish its other white blood cells with proper nourishment which inhibits healthy growth.

The Tea Party is doing the job expected by the Constitution. The spending habits of government now must be looked at as a disease. And all elements that are attempting to crush our American body must be dealt with. There is no longer time to have the type of compassion that allows cancer cells to live next to healthy cells because we now know with clarity that the cancer cells will 100% of the time attempt to take over the healthy cell.

That leaves just one question. Where do you fit in? Are you a cancer cell, or a white blood cell?

I know what I am. And I know many Tea Party people who are pure white blood cells. The goal of this site is to identify cancer cells and attack them so that we can return to a healthy body, because there is so much cancer in this body we are trusted to protect, that we need to relearn what the diseases are, and what the healthy cells look like, so that the epic battle to overcome our sickness can be resolved and our America can return to health.

Where do you stand?

That also brings up the logical question many have leveled at me. Am I a white blood cell Tea Party guy?

I name this site after a term I wrote about in 2004 called a Overmanwarrior, which was in my mind before there was a Tea Party. I am, as a person most happy in conflict. I am not a turn the other cheek, peace-loving type of person. I respect people who are, and many in the Tea Party reflect that position which I support.

Since I am one of those types that do find myself in conflict, usually under the radar, I operate as I have for many years, alone, so not to incriminate the people around me that I care about. But my best friends are just to the left of my ideas and those are the Tea Party white blood cells that understand what’s important and what to do about it when they see the threat to that importance.

I would consider myself a white blood cell that will 100% of the time take on the largest diseases without endangering my friends. And such endeavors are not the types of battles that peace-loving people are best at. So we all have our role in curing the diseases of the body. My role is different, but very similar. It is just a variation of the white blood cell role intended for the most vicious cancers.

That’s all I’ll write about that role since further revelations will reveal the strategy to the diseases who read my site every day. As I said, the Overmanwarrior role from my 2004 book is based more on fact than fiction. And that’s all I’ll say. But it is a kind of ultra-white blood cell.

The best writers write what they know about. I’ve been doing this kind of thing for a long time, and I am relieved to see that there is now help which I welcome with enthusiasm.

If there is anything we’ve learned from our first 200 year history in the United States it’s that having checks and balances of elected representatives are not quite enough in this American experiment. Waiting from election to election to act is not enough. What is needed in the body of America are those interested in fighting off disease as soon as they show themselves and keeping those elected representatives honest with diligence, so those political representatives don’t buckle under the temptation of disease to become corrupt and work against the body of our nation. Such a thing should never happen again once America’s immune system kicks in and restores our health once again so the real American dream can be experienced by our descendents.

  1. I live in Chillicothe, OH. Home of a few prisons and OCSEA union members. I am taking a beating on Facebook from my friends and family. One friend posted this;

“Our insurance is currently $180 plus I pay a surcharge of $12.50 for my spouse, which I don’t understand since we have a FAMILY plan, so we are paying close to $200/month. The amount we are paying is 19.61% of the total premium. The State is narrowing our insurance choices to only 2 providers as of this July, so I expect the insurance costs will soar to well over $200 a month and possibly go as as high as $250/month. All State employees also have furlough days deducted out of each check for our 10 day annual furlough, which amounts to an additional 3.1 percent cut. Factor in the loss of personal days and our pay has been cut approximately another 5 %. We have went 5 of the last 9 years without a cost of living raise, much less any other type of raise, so we have fallen roughly 15% behind inflation in that regard.

AND…this one deserves its own paragraph because I guarantee you that few, if any of you, know this. The federal tax cuts that were approved by Congress before the end of calendar year 2010, you know the one that was going to reduce ALL of OUR federal taxes? It only applies to those paying FICA taxes (social security retirement) and is roughly a 2% cut. Guess who does NOT get that tax break? CORRECT, any public employee that pays into a retirement fund such as PERS, STRS, Police and Firefigters, State Troopers Retirement Fund, etc. So, if you are a public employee OR retiree, and were expecting your taxes to go down, they actual went back up to the pre-Bush era tax rate and WE received NO decrease, but an INCREASE in federal tax costs, which for ME is currently an extra Federal tax of $43.00/month or roughly an additional $515.00 per year. If you are paying FICA tax (i.e. private sector), your rate dropped 2 % and you did receive a tax rate reduction. SO, do not tell me the public sector has not sacrificed, not to mention the State employees that have been laid off over the past 6 years. My agency is currently understaffed by almost 25%.

More facts……As of January 2011, there were 58,766 state employees. That’s 10,000 less employees than what we had in 2000 and represents a 13.5% reduction in the number of State employees. Additionally, there are now 2,000 less State employees than there were in 1983 when collective bargaining was first introduced. So please explain to me how government has expanded when there has been almost a 14% staff reduction since 2000? That sounds to me like state government has indeed DECREASED.”

I just recently started reading Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom and have enjoyed it greatly. I work in HR @ a Teamster Union facility. But, find myself to have much more respect for the private sector unions than I do the public sector unions (not that there is much for either).

I would love for the people of this site (much more intelligent than I) to respond to my friends Facebook posting I have above.

    Thanks,

    David Skaggs

    Love this site!!!

    1. Just to clear the air. I’m David and I submitted the above rant from “Darren” the Correctional Officer. I support SB5. I (David) love this site! I come here daily for educated, thoughtful, and fair views coming from both sides of the issue. I received this rant(and many more) along w/threats of violence for our difference of opinion(s) on SB5 after posting a ‘comment’ on a ‘friends’ (Correctinal Offieceer) Facebook wall disputing the reasons of the Public Unions Cause and Fight for the ‘children’ and ‘middle class’. I was hoping for and recieved an insightful response from this site as expected! Thanks! Keep up the good work!!! Thanks for the response!!!

  2. 1.2 billion would have been saved if SB 5 was law in 2010. That is the number that has been floated and the the published deficit is 8 billion. So if I do the math 11.3 million people in Ohio, 350000 public sector union members = 3.05% of total population are going to make up 17% of the deficit. And lets be clear that this financial mess was caused mostly by a huge collapse of the the housing and banking sector. And our Govenor worked for the largest company in the middle of this mess. How is this at all fair???

    1. There are a lot of good people that work for bad companies, or unions. It’s not their fault. But in the case of economics, the housing market was a bubble that had grown too big. We have learned what that looks like and we are trying to deflate the bubble in education spending without letting it fall apart. The 1.3 billion is just part of getting those costs under control. It’s a step, but for 2011 will only get us about 7% of the way. There are companies on the fringe of growth that would like to come to Ohio because of it’s location, but are waiting to see if we can become a right-to-work state with reasonable taxes. If we increase our taxes to deal with our deficit, then they will set up shop in Florida or someplace else, which will increase their transportation costs, but will save in regulation and taxes. To close the rest of that gap, business has to come back to Ohio from outside the state. So this SB5 is the first step of that process.

  3. David,
Nice to see you here and I do read your posts. I’m a novice about the unions as a whole and the vast difference between the public and private sectors, and while I have an opinion..especially regarding the propping up of pubic sector pensions, I’m not yet qualified to the respond to the above post. I’m sure Sandra will be along shortly..and she has the arsenal to present the opposing argument. Sorry that you’re taking a beating. You are certainly NOT alone. Be staunch in what you believe and let no one, family or friends, take you down.
I read everything Rich puts out. He DOES the work for those of us that are getting ever so bogged down with keeping our jobs, battling school levies, or just the painful reality of the swift overtaking of our basic freedoms and liberties. The assault is undeniable and we have to be prepared, or lose it all forever.

  4. UBER WHITE CELL. After pondering it for a bit…I’ve experienced the ebb and flow of our system for many, many years and knowing something was very wrong this time around, I also flew under the radar from even my husband to find answers to the nagging questions that kept me up at night. He instinctively knew it was inevetable that I would become so vocal. He said it’s just how I’m made. And like I’ve said before, lets me move in the direction that inspires me. That being said..I need the commrodery of those that have had seen the infection of those around them and have the meds to keep the cancers at bay. I’m guided by my own beliefs, those set long ago by my parents and God…but I welcome all opinions by all kinds. It keeps me rounded as long as it’s not ranting. That makes me just glaze over. It’s the white cells fighting off the unreasonable attack and it never fails. To be sure…fighting this is definately not for the thin-skinned and you have to take your medicine with a pantload of sugar. My comrades are few but the best of the best and that’s all I could ask for.

  5. Drunk with power is more the case with SB5. If you want jobs to come to Ohio, try working on Cororate Tax Rates, we rank 47th, we were 13th in 1990. SB5 is 1000000% politics 0% job. I’m not even in a union and I can see this for what it is. I hate both political parties equally but this sure fuels my view that Conservatives HATE the middle class.

  6. Statistically more than 600,000 people have left Ohio.
Why, you ask? Because their jobs disappeared. Why did their jobs disappear? Because many companies left Ohio because of the high rate of taxation and the higher and higher demands of the union labor.

The fact is that many of the college graduates have to leave Ohio too. No jobs for them either. What does this mean? When 600,000 (or more) people leave the state it follows that the taxes those people paid leave too.

Following that concept, David, it naturally follows that when you lose that much of your population, you need fewer people working in the public sector.

David you bring up the point of your not getting a deduction for FICA. Why should you? You don’t pay FICA on your government paycheck. You will qualify for a much better benefit than anyone receiving Social Security. I am sure that you, never-the-less, pay FICA on your second job and therefore will qualify for a Social Security check to enhance the retirement check you will receive from the state plan.
The rest of us do not enjoy that double-dipping perk.

David you complain about the amount you are paying for health coverage. Do you have a clue as to how much the rest of us pay per person for minimum coverage with high deductibles? For example a single friend pays $550.00 per month premimum for a policy with a $5,000.00 deductible. A senior I know pays Medicare premiums, prescription premimums and $200.00 per month for a “gap” policy. Many seniors cannot afford the gap policy because they do not have wonderful retirement income. If they get sick they are stuck with thousands and thousands of dollars of costs that are not covered. These costs bankrupt most seniors.

Many seniors pay huge co-pays for their prescriptions and for the entire prescription after their total drug costs go up to $2830.00 for the year. With the high cost of medicine these days, it does not take much to accumulate the $2830.00. With Obamacare it will be much worse for your parents and grandparents. Do you care?

All of these people have paid taxes for years and years and are still paying taxes with no benefits.
Many of the elderly are losing their homes because they can no longer afford the property taxes. Tell me, how fair is that?

I wonder how many people know that public employees (they don’t want to be called servants) receive a big fat check from the school district etc. if they do not use the districts plan and use their spouse’s plan. Isn’t that a crock!!!! A teacher was just bragging about the “big fat check” she would receive because she didn’t use her district’s insurance. She already had it spent on a nice long vacation in the Caribbean. Just a few thoughts.

    1. This is completely untrue-teachers do not receive a check for not using benefits. They only don’t have to pay their 15% share of the cost of the plan if they don’t take it. This is a fact you can check. I heard overmanwarrior doesn’t really do anything for money and only got rich because his parent’s owned a lot of property along 129 when the regional highway came through-his books are crappy and his view on higher education sounds like one of a person who couldn’t cut it in college and barely passed high school algebra

  7. Common Sense: or Not so Common Sense.

You are wrong. They do receive compensation if they do not use the “medical benefit” afforded to them.

Teachers in some districts brag about it. I can give you quotes if you wish. In fact, Chilicothe is such a district. You need to read the contract in your district, “not so common sense.”
